A Simple concept : One Theme, One discover
In 2020, Florian Cecchini decided to start a new project in the Cognac region. He is joined by his childhood friends, Julien Aubineau and Valentin Biffi, to start the adventure.
After a few years of studying all over the country, our destiny made us meet again around a nice bottle of Cognac. That’s how an idea came to us. Why not make this moment a unique and human experience to share with everyone?
And that is how Drôles de Cognac is born—a friends project with one ambition: to share the love that brings Cognac and its aesthetics with most people through emotional and tasty visits and discoveries. Julien, Valentin, and Florian, the Drôles from the country (Drôles mean kids, young people, or boys in the local language), used Cognac to sublime the French culture and the people that make it.

He has a strong link to his home region, and after a few years away, he now often comes back. He likes to share his passion for the exceptional terroir of Cognac, transmitted by his grandfather, a cognac maker himself.
Julien is a bon vivant; he appreciates fine food, and loves to share and communicate this art de vivre to show the magic of the Cognac spirit.
Valentin Biffi
Winetourism Specialist and General Director for SAS Drôles de Cognac.
Valentin created a strong link with Spirit when he was a kid. In fact, his parents worked for a big Cognac house, and they always shared with him the beauty of this magnificent beverage.
After he gained his own experience with vine work, harvest, and vinication, Valentin often traveled to smell the overseeing nature perfumes. Mind in the stars, this dreamer and audacious character is back in the region to transmit the local producers heritage that makes history of the region.

Ostheopth and Directeur for droles de Cognac company
Born in Madagscar, it was in Cognac that Florian dropped his bags in 1995. After 27 years, he is still there, admiring people who are writing about Cognac history.
Sensitiv to the art of good living style and good products, Florian always loved these old fashion products that are part of our history. The real goal for him is always to find the best product with a nice story that creates a beautiful moment.
